Refund policy
Placing an order on Miss Willa's Bookshop and/or Miss Willa's Bookshop Online serves as your legal agreement to all of our policies, and terms of service, regardless of whether or not you have taken the time to read them.
Miss Willa's Bookshop Online strives to provide as much information as possible in each product listing. The customer is responsible for reading each product listing prior to placing an order.
ALL ITEMS ARE FINAL SALE. We do not allow returns/exchanges/substitutions/cancellations/refunds/price adjustments.
We cannot accommodate cancellations/refunds due to changes of heart/financial circumstances/panic buying.
Chargebacks: Miss Willa's Bookshop Online reserves the right to deny any customer who files a chargeback from any and all futures purchases from the shop.
Shipping charges are non-refundable.
If you experience an issue with your order (missing and/or wrong item), please email us at shop@jenniferlarmentrout.com within 7 days of receipt. If 7 days has passed since tracking shows the order arrived at the shipping address, unfortunately, we will not be able to assist you. Responses to emails received outside of 7 days since your tracking number shows your order arrived at the shipping address will be at the discretion of Miss Willa's Bookshop Online.
Miss Willa's Bookshop Online is not responsible for any lost and/or damaged packages. Customers are responsible for filing claims with the shipping carrier and providing the required documentation. Once a claim is filed, the carrier is responsible for reimbursing you for any lost/or damaged items/packages, not Miss Willa's Bookshop Online. Once you have received reimbursement from the carrier, and IF replacement items are available, you can place another order. PLEASE NOTE: Due to limited inventory of merchandise, replacements may not always be available for repurchase and are not guaranteed.

If your order is returned to us as non-deliverable (due to incorrect address, incorrect info, customer was not available for delivery, etc), we will offer to re-ship in-stock items at your expense. We do not refund any shipping charges.
Order Issue Resolution is at the discretion of Miss Willa's Bookshop Online and may include sending the correct product (if available), a Miss Willa's Bookshop Online e-Gift card in the amount of the original purchase price, minus shipping charges, and/or a partial refund in the amount of the original purchase price minus shipping charges.
Special Editions are a specialized product with details regarding design shared in advance. Slight color variations may occur due to screen lighting differences and are not considered blemishes, damage, or errors. We do not sell "Collector Editions". Please refer to our Book Damage Criteria below BEFORE reaching out.
We do our best to inspect every product for damage/imperfections when it comes in from the vendor/supplier and again before it leaves the shop.
International customers:
International customers are responsible for all VAT, tariffs, taxes, Delivered At Place (DAP), Brokerage fees and/or any other fees associated with their country/region, and Miss Willa's Bookshop Online will not refund/return any fees associated/affiliated with those orders, including packages that have been refused by the customer (you) and abandoned by the carrier. Please refer to the most recent VAT rates for your specific country/region.
If your order arrives damaged, you can file a loss/damage claim with the shipping carrier for reimbursement. Once a claim is filed, the carrier is responsible for reimbursing you for any lost/or damaged items/packages, not Miss Willa's Bookshop Online. Once you receive reimbursement from the shipping carrier, and IF replacements are available, you can place another order.

Third-Party Shippers: Miss Willa's Bookshop Online is not affiliated with any third-party shippers. Choosing to use a third-party shipper such as Stackry.com, it is at the customers' own risk.
Book Damage Criteria
All of the books we carry are shipped from the printer to the publisher to us, to you. We check all items when they come in from our vendors and again before shipping them. We do not sell "Collector Editions".
If you receive the wrong book or you believe your book is damaged (not damaged during transit), please email us with your order number, and submit photos of your invoice and the book.
Replacements are not always possible. Resolution may include a Miss Willa's Bookshop Online e-Gift Card in the amount of purchase minus shipping. Please refer to the criteria below to determine if a book meets our book damage criteria before reaching out.
✓ DOES qualify as damage:
- Cut/Punctured
- Dirty or Sticky residue that cannot be removed*
- Stained/Discolored/Water damage
- Pages missing
- Pages printed upside down/backwards
- Interior pages featuring a different author's book and not JLA's
- Spine split in half
- Crushed corners (not as a result of damage during transit)
- Torn – cover and/or pages
✖︎ DOES NOT qualify as damage:
- Light Scratches, scuff marks
- Shelf wear along the corners/edges/spine/slight indenting on the corners(this is to be expected with books shipped multiple times)
- Dirty or Sticky residue as a result of the customer attempting to remove a price tag/remaindered sticker applied in the warehouse at the publisher's request.
- Wrinkles – minor on a paperback or Special Edition spine
- Hardcover, Paperback, and/or Special Edition covers are made from a cardboard material that is slightly pliable and may show slight scratches, scuff marks, minimal creasing and/or slight impressions/indentations/pinch marks at the top and/or bottom (this happens when a book is opened) and is not considered damage.
- Foiling and Sprayed Edges: Foiling and sprayed edges can yield slightly different results on each copy. Slight discolorations, gently rubbed book spines, uneven color distribution, small ink dots, and/or minimal color bleeds on the cover or pages do not constitute damage.
- Paperbacks - minimal creasing and/or slight impressions. Please note: Paperback spines may be slightly curved/not perfectly straight as a result of the binding process or due to being opened in order for JLA to sign them.
- Bindings on the later FBAA and F&F books (The Primal of Blood and Bone, Born of Blood and Ash) are thicker and may show more of the product used (glue) to bind the book. This is due to the amount of pages (both are BIG books), and does not qualify as damage.
- Slightly wavy or folded pages
*If a book does qualify as damaged based on the criteria listed above, you may request an exchange. Exchanges and replacements are NOT guaranteed. IF your request is approved, the cost of return shipping will be at your expense and will not be refunded by Miss Willa's Bookshop Online.
WOUNDED copies are identified as such in the product listing and are sold as-is at a steep discount. Please read to the product description for any/all potential wounds as we are unable to photograph every single wounded book.
Apparel: All apparel is unisex sizing, unless noted in the listing. Please refer to the size charts before purchasing. If you are in between sizes, we recommend sizing up as we do not allow exchanges.
Drinkware*: According to the manufacturer, all ceramic mugs are microwave and dishwasher safe unless otherwise noted.
For travel mugs, water bottles, pint glasses, wine glasses, and other drinkware, please refer to the manufacturer's care instructions included with the product.
*Per our Terms of Service (Products), we do not warrant that the quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you will meet your expectations, or that any errors will be corrected. Miss Willa's Bookshop Online unfortunately cannot accommodate return/refund requests for used products of any kind, including but not limited to, those that display signs of normal wear and tear.
